The UK's Drone and Technology Show

If you’re in any way involved with the drone industry, it can’t have escaped your notice that the Drone and Technology Show is back at the Birmingham NEC in December on the 1st and 2nd.

We’re excited to announce that DSR will be there alongside our partners at Jessops to meet and greet all the visitors, as well as demonstrate some of our pilots’ flying skills and work with you to answer any questions that you might have.

DSR founder Mark Boyt says, ‘It’s a great chance for new drone pilots to get to know DSR and how it can help them to achieve their goals whether those are starting to fly professionally or just to begin an exciting new hobby.’

Drone Safe Register will have three pilots at the show their skills in the ‘drone cage’ who will also be able to share their tips and tricks for flying success with the stand visitors. DSR will also be featured as part of Jessops part of the speaker programme.

The Drone & Technology Show

Running alongside the Technology Show, this promises to be something of a wonderland for drone pilots and enthusiast at all levels.  Hosted by Jason Bradbury, the show is divided into zones and packed with something for everyone with lots of opportunities to try the latest drone tech and take advantage of some great show offers.  The fact that it’s just a little before Christmas is probably not a coincidence and we would imagine that there will be a few requests for Santa during the course of the weekend!

If you’ve always liked the idea of flying FPV, then you’ll be able to get a taste of the action with the Drone Racing iSeries Championships.  With a £10000 prize pot, and drones reaching speeds of up to 70mph, it’s sure to be a tense and exciting tournament.

Along with a comprehensive workshop programme where you can watch and learn from experts in their field, there’s also a whole new show section dedicated to aerial imaging and photography. There, you’ll be able to view all the drone and traditional cameras, gimbals, lenses and accessories that you can think of (and probably some more besides).  There will the chance to improve your skills as well as to grab a show bargain.

It’s going to be an incredible weekend of technology featuring suppliers that are well established alongside those on the bleeding edge with some incredible new innovations.  So we’d definitely recommend keeping your diary free to visit and make the most of the opportunities that this exciting industry show has to offer.
