After months of planning and preparation Drone Safe Register™ can announce the launch of the next stage of their support of the drone industry. The organisation has gone from strength to strength and in spite of the challenging conditions of 2020 launching a drone store is the next phase.

Having established the nations largest network of approved professional drone operators for hire, won support on BBC’s Dragons Den and championed the interests of the drone industry some were wondering what could be next for DSR™.

“Opening a drone store is a natural step for us and this is a really exciting time. I’d like to thank everyone at Drone Safe Register for the work behind the scenes to make sure this will become a busy supplier of DJI drones,” comments CEO of DSR Mark Boyt.

So what can we expect from the drone store and what will make it unique? As well the full range of equipment and accessories at great prices customers will have access to expert support.

Anyone buying a drone will have access to a telephone consultation with an experienced pilot. There’s a lot of evidence that first flights and initial hours with a drone are when accidents are most likely to happen. A user can read manuals and watch YouTube videos but there’s nothing like being able to talk to an expert first hand. This applies equally to anyone buying their first ever drone or to someone upgrading to a new model.

“Drone Safe Register has always been about safety and education,” Mark comments. “This is how we’ve developed our reputation as a professional network and why major clients are attracted to us. Launching our drone store makes us a one stop shop. You can come to DSR™ to book a pilot, buy a drone, find training and access expertise and buy aerial stock footage.”

Buying a drone is unlike most purchases in that a new owner may never have experienced anything like it. Access to expert support reduces the risk of a ‘fly away’ or other problems and makes the process much more enjoyable.

Anyone buying through the Drone Safe Store will also have exclusive access to a closed online group of experts and other users. This will be a forum for questions and discussions about everything from safe and legal flying to aerial photography techniques.

Many new drone operators are interested in turning their hobby into a business, and DSR™ can also help here. “We can advise on insurance with our partner Coverdrone, obtaining a GVC and how to market a drone business and find work,” comments Mark. “Our Instant Quote platform is a growing source of work including aerial property shoots for estate agents and inspection work for insurance Loss Adjusters.”

The new store will offer a full range of DJI equipment and accessories in addition to the actual drones. Camera gimbals like the DJI Osmo Pocket will also be available, as well as 360 cameras. A used drone marketplace and Approved Used & open box area will become a treasure trove for picking up gear at reduced prices and for those wanting to sell on and upgrade.

The Drone Safe Store will deliver expertise and customer service and looks set to become a leading drone supplier.
