We are a father and son team based in Droitwich, Worcestershire. A quick look at our website www.airbournedrones.com will give you a brief background into why and how we came into this unique industry. We are very excited to be part of it and look forward to seeing it evolve. We are an innovative company and a lot of our time is taken up with research and developing new ideas. Pete (Dad) has over 40 years experience in the prototype, development and test of products within the Automotive industry. With this in mind, one of the aims of the company was to have a Prototyping function looking at new Drone ideas and applications. This function is embedded in to our Operations Manual which recently was submitted for the third year to the CAA. This gives us a degree of flexibility in what we do. Charlie (Son) takes after his dad and has a wonderful, creative mind and a very caring appreciation of all things mechanical. Our permission number is 4840. Our prime function is the design and manufacture of protective cages to allow drones to be used in close proximity flights during inspection work. We have now developed a Bumpcage for the Dji Phantom 4 and Mavic 2. If you search for Bumpcage in YouTube you will see our cages in action. As well as being extremely strong, our cage are the lightest available.
