Discovery Point is the home of the RRS Discovery, which was constructed in Dundee.
The RRS Discovery was an auxiliary steamer with a barque rig that was built specifically for Antarctic expedition. She was a member of the British National Antarctic Expedition, which was responsible for transporting Robert Falcon Scott and Ernest Shackleton on their first and very successful journey to the Antarctic continent, which was known as the Discovery Expedition.
Skykam was given approval to conduct a commercial UAV flight on the 4th August 2021 at 6am.
