BH Wildlife Consultancy offers thermal imagery drone surveys to aid woodland and estate managers in order to establish a baseline of wildlife present. The business has been operating since 2016 and has aimed to be at the forefront of the latest methods and technologies to aid understanding of wildlife within our environment. We have successfully conducted hundreds of surveys for a number of organisations on all types of terrain drawing upon our extensive wildlife experience.
Our typical count will see the thermal imaging drone cover a defined area set by the client with the survey providing an accurate minimum count of what is present. We have surveyed a range of animals from 11 different deer species (native and non-native/park and wild), Wild boar, feral goats and more recently wallabies. This data is then transferred on to a GIS platform for spatial analysis. This service provides the client with an accurate and quick snapshot of an animal population to enable the client to then make informed decisions on management.
