In the blink of an eye, the summer is over and we’re heading rapidly into autumn and winter. 2022 has been another year of challenges and rapid change - we have a new Prime Minister and a New King. We’re also facing an energy crisis with prices of electricity and gas soaring and no signs of improvement in sight. Whilst this is a serious concern and challenge for many people, it’s something our commercial drone operator community can help with.

The Importance of a Thermal Inspections Rises

The Energy Saving Trust claims that around a quarter of the heat is lost through the roof of an uninsulated home. Insulating a home is a relatively easy and inexpensive DIY project, and it can pay for itself many times over in its lifetime. But how can you identify areas of your roof and other parts of your home where heat is escaping? A thermal drone inspection could be the answer you’re looking for.

Drones are the ideal tool for thermal roof inspections. They make the process fast, efficient and accurate. They also make it affordable compared to the potential costs of manual surveys using scaffolding, ladders and thermal surveying engineers. A basic visual drone roof survey can provide valuable information about the condition of a roof and identify areas for attention and repair, but adding a thermal camera takes it to another level. A skilled operator can identify areas where valuable heat is escaping so that you can consider additional insulation and ways to retain heat.

Increasing Instant Quotes

The early part of this year was a tough time for commercial drone operators, but we’ve seen enquiries climbing through spring and summer. Events have been particularly popular as the world returns to normal after the pandemic. Drones for weddings have been popular, and the active housing market has meant a steady flow of enquiries about aerial property photography. We’re expecting work to continue into the winter with particular demand for property inspections and insurance claims work.
