I wanted to take this opportunity to round up all of the changes (both good and trying!) that we’ve experienced over the last few months.
A Newsletter is something I have always wanted to be able to deliver so although it is in these circumstances, I am glad to have the ball rolling. You can expect a Newsletter from Drone Safe Register™ at the end of every month from now on.
We forecasted for this year to be our best yet, and despite all the challenges we have been successful in achieving that with two months to spare!
Having originally anticipated that expanding our DSR team would take place in February, we have only in the last few months been able to do so. I am delighted to introduce Frank George, our new Major Accounts Manager and Jorjia Nye, our new Marketing Executive.
Frank and Jorjia will be working to continue providing outstanding services to both members and customers of our drone operation services, setting the foundations to ensure that next year we continue to improve on the safe, trained and insured community we have already successfully built.
With Covid-19 we have seen a halt on Our Networking Events, TV/Film productions and of course a limit on normal human interaction across the globe.
The initial onset of Covid-19 admittedly had me worried but, the support within our network and beyond has enabled us to withstand the proverbial storm and we have continued to smash through delivering an outstanding number of aerial data requests.

So far this year we have successfully launched –
· Drone Safe Store, where we are stocking DJI products with invaluable free set-up support, next day delivery options and exclusive DSR member discounts.
· Drone Safe Transfer, a safe, secure and professional online portal allowing large data file transfers of up to 50GB.
· Drone Safe Partners, allowing a streamlining function for customers that are looking to request multiple workloads through one simple system.
All of the above will be supported by the new Drone Safe Register™ website, featuring a brand-new instant quote system. This is slightly delayed due to the volume of work going into the production of the website, rest assured it is coming soon…
I am incredibly proud of the resilience we have demonstrated as an industry that is still establishing itself among more mainstream data collection methods.
Updates to be rolled out by the CAA (Civil Aviation Authority).
2021 will mark the start of big changes to the way the drone industry has been structured. I personally feel that these changes and the way they are implemented are the CAA’s responsibility to communicate and enforce. Proper communication surrounding the changes will ensure that the industry we are all brought together by continues to grow in a safe way, which has always been at the heart of Drone Safe Register™.
We will continue to work hard to ensure you’re informed as best you can be about the rules and regulations surrounding safe flights.

PfCO – GVC conversion courses – Reduced for DSR members. This will be an online course via the Osprey Drone Training website (There is no flight exam required if you hold a current PFCO or permission) (Requires a theory examination, completed remotely).
