An incredible year in a challenging market place
Drone Safe Register CEO Mark Boyt rounded up an incredible year in a challenging market place in a live audience session this week.
These regular live sessions are a great opportunity for Mark to update DSR members on changes in drone regulations. New business deals and pipeline opportunities.
We will see more throughout 2020 with guest speakers lined up to take part.
Needless to say, it’s been a tough year for many industries due to uncertainty over Brexit and future government. Emerging technology like drones can also be affected by these tough conditions.
Mark commented
“I honestly thought we would go backward in 2019. But through hard work and ongoing support of our members. We have been able to generate hundreds of drone jobs. Now is the time to turn this into thousands.
The drone industry is still new, and there have been bumps in the road, but there are real signs that the commercial value of drone services is now being recognized.
Drone Safe Register is positioned to make the most of these opportunities into 2020.”
In the live member update, many new products were announced with launches scheduled for Q1 of 2020.
One of the most exciting is a new customer online portal providing a one-stop-shop for private and commercial businesses looking to enjoy aerial imagery at competitive prices, a fully online service. “Making aerial photography and video available to all is one of our goals for 2020, and our new portal will make this possible.
There’s nothing like this out there and we’ll be the first to market” Mark commented.
In response to demand, DSR will also be adding a ground still and video service elevated masts and cable cams to its directory of highly skilled members. 3D virtual tours will follow.
“Over the past year, we’ve realized that aerial imagery from drones is just a part of what our members can offer.
Between them, there’s a wealth of experience in all sorts of photography and videography. I see DSR as the ideal platform to market, promote and distribute a whole range of services”
In addition, DSR will also strengthen its relationship with insurance business Claims to support the launch of an exciting new insurance product.
The company is a similar organization to DSR in that we are both out to disrupt markets and offer new solutions.
In wrapping up, Mark touched on the new EASA regs coming next year stating this is an amazing opportunity for skilled drone operators.
Some operators have reacted negatively. But as always DSR will adapt and see the huge opportunities ahead of us.
DSR is now 4yrs old. We’re firmly established and supported by hundreds of loyal members and very much looking forward to 2020.
