Steve has been flying UAV / drone unmanned camera systems since 2008 and is regarded by many as one of the most experienced operators in the UK. He was one of the early pilots to qualify under the the BNUC-S scheme.

He flies a variety of aircraft ranging from small 4 rotor craft with a suitable camera to large 8 rotor craft that can carry a Red Epic or Alexa Mini.

He has flown in a vast range of different situations including on live airports, at live horse race meetings, from boats and at night – all with the relevant permissions in place.

Steve has CAA Permission for Commercial Operations (number 249) and specialist, £5million UAV insurance.

 

He already has standing permission to fly in congested areas and is very used to dealing with all the relevant stakeholders to obtain specialist permissions when needed.

Steve has decades of experience of working in film and broadcast television on a very wide range of subjects. He also has specialist knowledge of aerial filming using both manned and unmanned aircraft.
