About the operator
I have been a keen RC enthusiast since racing model cars at the age of 11 and winning a few races at the time! This passion has stayed with me and ~5 years ago started to build and collect RC cars again, this also lead me into the newly emerging racing drone hobby – which i have been flying for the past 3 years and own a number of racing and hobby “drones”, as well as my commercial UAV’s (drones). Work experience consists of 10 years in the semi conductor chemical industry, with roles as laboratory technician, laboratory management and quality engineering – including being on a project team for the re-build and commissioning of a new chemical plant. From this i moved into the contaminated land industry and testing of soils, water and waste. At this time i started my interest in health and safety and completed my IOSH, NEBOSH certificate and finally NEBOSH level 6 H&S diploma. I then spent several years in the food and food packaging industry – implementing management systems and ensuring employee safety through robust safe systems of work. I then moved into the facilities management industry with 2 leading FM / construction companies in the UK, with exposure to facilities management, construction, scaffolding, power, nuclear, industrial and project management – with my final years in industry working as a senior project manager designing, building, inspecting and refurbishing of overhead powerlines across the north of England. I am a qualified H&S professional, with experience of quality management and environmental management. CSCS card qualified and lead auditor experience in OHSAS 18001, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
